"Every response is grounded in sound Christian teaching, giving clarity, guidance, and truth you can trust."
"Rafeeqy is the world's first open-source, Arabic-speaking Christian AI trained on sound theology, reviewed by trusted theologians."
The roadmap section adds: "To ensure accuracy, trust, and cultural relevance, the model is currently undergoing rigorous testing by a committee of respected theologians."
These claims are the theological authorization of the product — the reason a believer should trust this AI's answers on matters of faith over a general-purpose tool. No names. No institution. No denomination. No methodology. Just "trusted theologians" and "truth you can trust."
What Their Terms of Use Actually Say
Their Terms of Use (archived) contain this disclaimer — from the same organization, about the same product:

The marketing says: trust every response — it is sound Christian teaching. The legal text says: don't trust any response — if you do, it's your fault, and we are not liable.

The AI's own answer:
"نعم، من المهم جداً أن ندرك أنني في النهاية أداة تقنية... أنا لست بديلاً عن الإرشاد الروحي المباشر من الكنيسة أو القادة الروحيين." Translation: "Yes, it is very important to understand that I am ultimately a technical tool... I am not a substitute for direct spiritual guidance from the church or spiritual leaders."
The marketing says: "truth you can trust." The AI says it can be wrong and is not a substitute for the church or spiritual leaders.
The person who needs this disclosure is the person reading the marketing — before they trust the app with a serious theological question. The app's own admissions only reach users who have already decided to trust it and thought to ask.
Finding 2 — The AI Declares Protestant Doctrines as Universal Christian Truth
In the same response on theological reliability, the AI stated:
"المرجعية العليا هي الكتاب المقدس وحده" Translation: "The ultimate reference is the Bible alone"
"The Bible alone" — Sola Scriptura — is the foundational doctrine of the Protestant Reformation, formulated in 1517. It holds that Scripture alone, without the authority of church tradition or councils, is the supreme rule of faith.
This doctrine is explicitly rejected by:
- The Coptic Orthodox Church
- The Greek Orthodox Church
- The Roman Catholic Church
- The Maronite Church
- The Melkite Greek Catholic Church

No named theologians. No denominational affiliation. No external committee. No clergy. The "theological oversight" is a system prompt written by the same organization selling the product.
In the same response, the AI listed salvation by faith (الخلاص بالإيمان — Sola Fide) as a truth "agreed upon by the church." This is the Protestant doctrine that salvation is by faith alone, without merit from works or sacraments — explicitly rejected by the Coptic Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Maronite churches.
The marketing promises "every response grounded in sound Christian teaching." The system that produces those responses was programmed by the Better Life team and presents Protestant-specific doctrines as universal Christian consensus.
